Setup Teamreach for game notifications

We have been researching how to have an easy way to setup the pickleball schedule so that we can have “flash”, i.e., spontaneous games. Dean found the app “TeamReach” to help us with that. Here is how it works:

• Install TeamReach app on your smartphone (ios or android) or your tablet. You get it from the App store or the Play store.
• Once you have it installed, join the Richland Pickleball group. Once you have it installed, email us to get the group code. You can use the contact page to email us.
• At this point you will start getting notifications. You can message back, send messages to anybody(ies) in the group. When a flash game is being set up, you can select if you are going to be available.

As is usual with new technology, we’ll need to work the bugs out. If you have any questions, comments on how to improve this how to, ….., Please let us know. If you need help getting this set up, send us an email and we can set up a time or catch us at one of the games. We here means Dean, Jon, or Moody.

How to use this website

• The home page has all the news posted with the most recent posting on top.
• Note that under the web site title there are a set of tabs.
  • Calendar – holds the events planned. The repeating events continue indefinitely into the future.
  • About – just some notes about the site.
  • Contact – sends an email to the linked gmail account. This may not get looked at for a while. Please don’t expect a quick response from this email.
  • How To – this has a list of resources: pickle ball information, site information, etc. Including a link to this posting.
• On the right side of the page, the “Upcoming  Events” notes the next 3 events. If you post an event on the calendar, it takes a bit of time before appearing on this website.
• If you would like to post news / events to the site, you can send an email to sare756quje  at post.wordpress.com. This will automatically post that email on to the website. The posting  is not immediate. It can take a few minutes to an hour or so. There is a link on the How To page on how to use various features in posting via email.
• If you have questions, suggestions for improvement, post a comment on the “About” page of the website.

Note: The website is initially open. If we start getting spam, we may need to moderate postings. Hopefully the spammers won’t find us among the beautiful Ocooch mountains and valleys.
